Non è semplice parlare di un film come “Pursuit”, per diversi motivi. A primo impatto è letteralmente un B Movie, ma, come sanno gli amanti del Cinema, è proprio perchè si tratta di un B Movie che non si può fare a meno di adorarlo. E dal 12 Giugno sarà disponibile per il pubblico in Digital Download.
“Pursuit” ha una valutazione del 9% su Rotten Tomatoes. Non gli rende per niente giustizia. Ma, lo sappiamo, a volte i critici cinematografici sono parecchio esigenti. Non si accontentano mai. Questo è il momento di sospendere ogni giudizio preventivo e di affidarsi al proprio istinto per buttarsi in questo film d’azione dove non conta la trama, ma la violenza e gli attori.
Per chi ama Cinema e Serie TV e ha passato ore della propria vita davanti allo schermo questo film è perfetto. Il cast è più che noto al pubblico appassionato: c’è John Cusack, che non ha bisogno di presentazioni; Emile Hirsch, l’interprete di Christopher McCandless nel film del 2007 “Into the Wild”; Jake Manley, protagonista della serie Netflix “The Order”; Elizabeth Ludlow, il volto di Arat, braccio destro di Negan, in “The Walking Dead”; William Katt, star di “Un mercoledì da leoni” e tra i protagonisti dei film di Perry Mason ed infine Graham Patrick Martin, l’interprete di Rusty Beck nelle serie televisive “The Closer” e “Major Crimes”. Insomma è tutto così famigliare. Se prendiamo questo cast e ci aggiungiamo sparatorie ed esplosioni ne esce davvero qualcosa di incredibile. Questo è il film adatto per passare una serata spensierata in compagnia degli amici. Qualche birra, della pizza e “Pursuit” vi faranno scivolare via di dosso la pesantezza della vita.
Nel film il detective Breslin incrocia il proprio cammino con quello di Calloway, uno spietato hacker che sta cercando di salvare la moglie, rapita da un cartello della droga. Quando Calloway fugge dalla custodia della polizia, Breslin unisce le sue forze con un altro poliziotto per reclamare il suo prigioniero.

“PURSUIT”: THE ACTION MOVIE WE DON’T DESERVE, BUT WE NEED
It is not easy to talk about a film like “Pursuit”, for several reasons. At first glance it is literally a B Movie, but, as lovers of Cinema know, it is precisely because it is a B Movie that you can not help but adore it. And from June 12 it will be available to the public in Digital Download.
“Pursuit” has a 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It doesn’t do it justice. But, we know, sometimes film critics are very demanding. They are never satisfied. This is the time to suspend any prior judgment and to rely on your instincts to jump into this action movie where it does not count the plot, but violence and actors.
For those who love Cinema and TV Series and have spent hours of their life in front of the screen this film is perfect. The cast is more than known to the passionate audience: there is John Cusack, who needs no introduction; Emile Hirsch, the actor of Christopher McCandless in the 2007 film “Into the Wild”; Jake Manley, protagonist of the Netflix series “The Order”; Elizabeth Ludlow, the face of Arat, Negan’s right-hand man, in “The Walking Dead”; William Katt, star of “Big Wednesday” and among the protagonists of Perry Mason’s films and finally Graham Patrick Martin, the interpreter of Rusty Beck in the TV series “The Closer” and “Major Crimes”. I mean, it’s all so familiar. If we take this cast and add shooting and explosions, something really amazing comes out. This is the right film to spend a carefree evening in the company of friends. A few beers, pizza and “Pursuit” will make you slip off the heaviness of life.
In the film, Detective Breslin crosses paths with Calloway, a ruthless hacker who is trying to save his wife, kidnapped by a drug cartel. When Calloway escapes from police custody, Breslin joins forces with another policeman to claim his prisoner.
