“The Old Man Movie”, film estone in stop-motion dei registi Mikk Mägi and Oskar Lehemaa, è uscito in alcune sale cinematografiche selezionate.
Non è un film per bambini, ma è dedicato agli amanti dei lungometraggi in stop-motion con un senso del grottesco sviluppato. Se ricordate “Celebrity Deathmatch” allora fa proprio per voi. La trama racconta la storia, letteralmente pazzesca, di un nonno e dei suoi tre nipoti, che devono ritrovare, entro 24 ore, una mucca scappata per errore dalla stalla. Ad ostacolarli c’è un vecchio pazzo su una sedia a rotelle che cerca vendetta.
Il film è una specie di road-movie dissacrante che si fa amare già dai primi minuti. Non ci sono regole in quest’opera preziosissima. Lo spettatore si trova a fare i conti con colpi di scena incredibili e doppi sensi abbastanza evidenti. Si tratta di uno di quei film che riescono a suscitare in modo naturale l’ilarità di chi guarda, soprattutto perchè lo fa attraverso sketch demenziali, esagerati e pregni di black humor. E nonostante questo non risulta per nulla offensivo. Tra stereotipi e velata ironia questa avventura è l’ideale per ritrovare il sorriso. C’è un unico effetto collaterale: sviluppare un’avversione totale per il latte. Correte al cinema!

“THE OLD MAN MOVIE”: A STOP-MOTION, TO SEE, IDIOTIC AND IRREVERENT
“The Old Man Movie”, a stop-motion Estonian film by directors Mikk Mägi and Oskar Lehemaa, has been released in selected cinemas.
It is not a film for children, but is dedicated to lovers of stop-motion feature films with a developed sense of the grotesque. If you remember “Celebrity Deathmatch” then it’s for you. The plot tells the story, literally crazy, of a grandfather and his three grandchildren, who must find, within 24 hours, a cow who escaped from the barn by mistake. There’s an old fool in a wheelchair trying to get revenge.
The film is a sort of desecrating road-movie that is loved from the first minutes. There are no rules in this precious work. The viewer is faced with incredible twists and quite obvious double entendres. It is one of those films that can naturally arouse the hilarity of the viewer, especially because it does so through idiotic, exaggerated and full of black humor sketches. And yet it is not offensive at all. Between stereotypes and veiled irony this adventure is ideal to find the smile. There is only one side effect: developing a total aversion to milk. Go to the cinema!
