L’attrice, produttrice e regista Lucy Liu produrrà e darà voce a “The Pirate Queen” (della compagnia inglese Singer Studios), l’esperienza in VR che verrà presentata al prossimo Tribeca Festival.
“The Pirate Queen”, diretto da Eloise Singer, è la storia della leggendaria Ching Shih, la pirata più famosa e di successo della Storia. L’opera è la storia dimenticata di Ching Shih, una donna che nella Cina del XIX secolo divenne uno dei pirati più potenti della Storia. Quando il capo della flotta muore improvvisamente, la vedova Ching Shih rischia di perdere il suo status, la sua sicurezza e persino la sua vita. I giocatori di questa esperienza in VR assumono l’identità di Ching Shih per completare una serie di missioni basate su puzzle e dovranno sconfiggere i nemici per diventare la Regina dei Pirati.
Lucy Liu, famosa per i suoi ruoli in “Charlie’s Angels” e “Kill Bill”, ha dichiarato di essere entusiasta di lavorare al fianco di Singer per dare vita alla storia di Ching Shih. VR GAMES: LUCY LIU STARRING IN “THE PIRATE QUEEN”
Actress, producer and director Lucy Liu will produce and give voice to “The Pirate Queen” (by the UK company Singer Studios), the VR experience that will be presented at the next Tribeca Festival.
“The Pirate Queen”, directed by Eloise Singer, is the story of the legendary Ching Shih, the most famous and successful female pirate in history. The opera is the forgotten story of Ching Shih, a woman who in 19th century China became one of the most powerful pirates in history. When the fleet leader dies suddenly, the widow Ching Shih risks losing her status, her safety and even her life. Players in this VR experience assume the identity of Ching Shih to complete a series of puzzle-based missions and must defeat enemies to become the Pirate Queen.
Lucy Liu, famous for her roles in “Charlie’s Angels” and “Kill Bill”, said she was excited to work alongside Singer to bring the story of Ching Shih to life. According to Liu she is a charming, resilient and tenacious woman who was able to become a powerful pirate leader during the Qing Dynasty. This is the actress’s first experience in a VR adventure.
